#1 Fitness ? Joyce Camp Photography

Fitness, well if anyone knows me they know I have never been one for fitness. Not that I have never wanted to but because of my health! I have been a severe asthmatic since childhood! Exercise has always induced asthma attacks.

Many other things also effect my asthma. Allergies to cats, smoke, many perfumes, exhaust from vehicles, pollens..you name it! Weather..yes every time there is a weather change I wheeze! Heat makes me wheeze, humidity makes me wheeze and cold makes me wheeze! That is why Fall is my favorite time of year..best for my breathing!

So you can see why fitness has always been hard for me! I have always ate a combo of healthy and not healthy items. I love to cook and having a husband and kids that never had to watch their weight I would make unhealthy meals from time to time. Have to admit I like sweets and love to bake!

At age 55 and being grateful for each new year the Good Lord has given me I have decided to try to be as healthy as I can! Am I still eating some sweets and some unhealthy food? Yes! Am I now eating only small amounts of them? Yes!

Thanks to Cricket Walker and her Facebook group, ?Just Get Moving? I have decided to start MOVING more to help improve my health!

I have been walking, started with 1 block then stuck with 2 1/2 blocks for awhile. Then 4 1/2 blocks now doing 9 ? 11 blocks when I can! The asthma still takes over now and then and I am unable to walk outdoors in the heat and humidity. So I have started walking at malls and stores. I also do stretches, chair squats and a planking hold on the floor!

For 3 years a CardioFit Machine I got from a neighbor has been sitting in my daughter?s basement and I started working out on it last week!

We also have a cheap treadmill I bought for my daughter years ago when she had trouble with her knee and had to do physical therapy for about 6 months! Ok I am afraid of treadmills! I?m going to try and use it when I don?t want to walk outside or drive somewhere to walk!
